Shayan is one of the famous modern folk musicians who started to sing Persian music when he was 8 years old.
His teacher and mentor, professor Taj Isfahani, was a pioneer in Persian music in Isfahan, a cosmopolitan city in Iran. At age of 14 Shayan performed with a band for the first time at the Youth Center and continued to sing for all high schools in Isfahan.
