Ahdout was born in Santa Monica, California to Yahya Ahdout and Jacqueline Hayempour, Iranian Jews who escaped to the U.S. with their baby daughter (J. Ahdout's older sister) in 1982 via Pakistan to Israel. Ahdout resides in Brentwood with his parents and siblings, Melody (born in Iran) and Daniel (born in California).
