His father recognized his vocal talents early on and encouraged him to pursue an education in the arts. At the age of 13 Aghili attended vocal lessons, under the supervision of master musician Taj Esfahani.
Soon Aghili was invited to perform at "Radio Isfahan" and participated in various musical programs. He was chosen as one of two minr vocalists for the Isfahan Student's Orchestra and also performed at various university-sponsored events.
