At age ten, Arash and his family moved to Sweden, where he still resides. One of the his great grandfather's was an Iranian Azeri. In an interview with BBC Persian Television, he has mentioned that his mother and father are from the Iranian cities of Shiraz and Isfahan, respectively.
Originally, his family moved to Uppsala, Sweden before moving to Malmö five years later. He considers Malmö his hometown where he lives when he is not on tour.He has two younger brothers, Ashkan Labaf, a doctor and Arsalan Labaf, a lawyer.
