'Nader and Simin, a Separation' Won Berlin Film Festival's Top Prize. The film follows the breakup of an Iranian family set against the political tensions in Tehran. While not overly political, the very theme makes it difficult not to send a statement about conditions in Iran. Despite that, the film was heavily favored to bring home the Golden Bear.

Just when it seemed impossible for Iranian filmmakers to express themselves outside the bounds of censorship, Asghar Farhadi's "Nader and Simin, A Separation" comes along to prove the contrary
